CC3 is the latest version of ProFantasy Software's Campaign Cartographer software. The new version of Campaign Cartographer combines the power of computer aided design with beautiful hand-crafted artwork and ease of use to provide what we think is the best and most effective tool for creating maps for roleplaying games and wargames.
All existing symbol catalogs have been updated with "smart" features and hundreds of new symbol variations.

The lake, river, etc. buttons, have been replaced with map drawing tools that are miles more intelligent. For example landmasses automatically lock to the map border, and have a choice of fractalized, outlined, straight and smoothed.
The drawing tool buttons all have right-click options and are customisable. There are loads of pre-defined tools, such as meadow, scrub, lakes, swamps, forests, plus you can create your own.
Most command buttons now have right-click menus. For example, right-clicking the Draw Circle button gives you seven methods for circles and ellipses. You can instantly reprogram the icon to your favourite method.

This is particularly useful when you have lots of catalogs to choose from. For example, if you click the vegetation button in CC3 you get a list showing the first few symbols in all the matching symbol catalogs. Each setting optionally sets the current layer, color and other drawing properties to customisable values.
There’s a new option of large toolbar buttons, recommended to go with high resolution displays.
