FRACTAL POLYGON lets you draw a complex fractal to make realistic looking landmasses, lakes and other natural features. You can see what any section of the fractal will look like before you accept it.
The prompt reads "Starting point:". Select a starting point for your fractal polygon with the left mouse button.
CC3 displays a rubber-band cursor, anchored at the 1st point.
The prompt reads"Next point on Path(Re-randomize=Space: Depth = L/R Arrows: Strength=U/D arrows:)" Move the mouse where you want the poly to go.
You can see a dynamic cursor showing where the fractal poly goes.
Use the following keys to control the appearance of the fractal poly:
· The SPACEBAR re-randomizes the fractal.
· The lef t and right arrows control the depth of the fractal. The depth controls the distance between each segment.
· The up and down arrows control the strength of the fractal. The strength controls the displacement of each segment from the average.
Choose a point. Choose more points. Right click to close the path.
You can use the arrow keys and SPACEBAR to change the settings at any point.

If you want to attach a Fractal Polygon to a map border, use the left and down arrow keys to reduce the depth and strength to 0. You can then use the ON modifier or Attach mode to connect it to the map border.
The effect of the fractal depth and strength are proportional to the window size.
Consider using one of the pre-defined fractal drawing tools, which automatically stay inside the map border and have resolutions appropriate for the current template.
