ProFantasy In Transition

ProFantasy's product range is in transition. Campaign Cartographer 3 is out and working well, but our add-ons are not all compatible with CC3 yet - they only work with CC2 Pro. This topic explains how you can still use our add-ons products, interactive atlases and symbol sets to create maps until the transition period is over.

Add-Ons and Symbol Sets

Updating all of the add-ons will take several months. In the mean time, so that you can buy and use add-ons, we are including a copy of CC2 Pro with your purchase of CC3. (CC3 Upgrade users will already have CC2 Pro.) As the add-ons are updated, you will receive free updates enabling them to work with CC3. You can purchase either boxed or download versions of the add-ons.

Art Upgrades

We are also adding new artwork to some of our add-ons. If you purchase an add-on (not a symbol set) from now on you are entitled to download this new art if it is released within a year of your purchase. When we release the new art, we will also issue a new boxed version of the add-on. If you qualify for the free artwork, you may get the new boxed version for the cost of shipping, if you want it. This does not apply to symbol sets, for which our usual upgrade policy applies.

Source Maps products

The maps and information included with our interactive atlases are compatible with CC3, however, the extra symbols and templates need to be updated to work with CC3. You will get a free downloadable update to your atlases when these updates are released.

Fractal Terrains Pro

Fractal Terrains Pro does not require updating for use with CC3.

Update Order and Status

The free updates to the add-ons, symbol sets and atlases will most likely be issued in this order:

  • Dungeon Designer Pro - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Symbols Set 1: Fantasy Overland - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Symbols Set 2: Fantasy Floorplans - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • City Designer Pro - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Character Artist Pro - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Dioramas Pro - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Perspectives Pro - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Cosmographer Pro - this product is now updated and works with CC3.
  • Source Maps: Castles
  • Source Maps: Temples

Using CC2 Pro and CC3 side-by-side

While the transition period continues, you might want to export your CC2 Pro add-on drawings into CC3 to add effects and use other new features. This can really improve the appearance of your maps. Be warned, though, this is a one-way process, so keep a copy of your original map.
