Bitmap Export Options

Click Tools > Options > BMP,JPG,PNG, or choose the corresponding file type in the Save As dialog and click Options to set the bitmap export options.

Settings

Maximum Image Dimensions

Width and Height set the maximum width and height of the image. Depending on your crop settings, one of these might be smaller in the final export.

Options

· Due to the vector nature of CC3’s entities, a straight export to a raster image might result in pixelation of smooth lines. To reduce this effect, choose an Anti-Alias setting of more than 0. CC3 will display the true image dimensions necessary for the export. Note that an export of more than 6000 pixel in either dimension is not recommended.

· Crop image to aspect ratio will cause the final image size to have the same ratio as the selected entities or map. The image will have a lower height or width than set in the Maximum Image Dimensions.

· Restrict image to map border will crop any entities beyond the map border from the export. This is useful if your map contains a screen polygon to cover entities extending over the border.

· Launch image viewer will open the exported image in its Windows-registered application automatically.

BMP (clipboard)

· When you copy to the clipboard you can choose between 8- and 24-bit color depth. Save As always uses 24-bit color depth.

PNG compression

Higher compression means a smaller PNG size file and vice versa.

JPEG

· Quality controls the appearance and size of the JPEG. Lower quality JPEGs open more quickly and have a smaller file size, but have less data.

· If Progessive is ticked, the image will open with increasing resolution in a web browser, rather than all at once.
