Map Collection: Fantasy Tavern

A multi-level floorplan of the Tendril's Oak Inn done with the new Dungeon Designer 3 features and symbols. The Tendril's Oak Inn is a fully featured adventure location, ready to be plugged into your own role-playing campaign, complete with a set of believable NPCs and a collection of adventure hooks.

But the floorplan is more than a ready-to-print adventure map with accompanying game information. You also get a complete guide to the sheets and effects used in the Dungeon Designer 3 map, enabling you to make the most out of your own DD3 floorplans.

Mapping Guide: How to Create a Style Pack

Style Pack: Mercator Historical Maps

Capture the flair and style of 16th and 17th century maps. Those centuries - the so-called "Age of Exploration" - were an era of immense European exploration and expansion and the art of cartography flourished to document and publish the newly discovered information on the shape of the world.

For a time the principal center of map making and map printing was in the Netherlands. Gerard Mercator is the most famous of those cartographers and therefore this map style is named in his honor. The Flemish mathematician, printer and mapmaker (born 1512, died 1592) compiled the first modern world atlas (titled "Theatrum Orbis Terrarum") and invented the map projection that still bears his name today.

Style Pack: Starship Deckplans

Templates, tools and symbols to draw starship deckplans for science-fiction games. Independent of Cosmographer Pro, it allows the sci-fi add-on's symbols to be used in its style for additional detail and effect.

Using hatch styles and simple symbol and combining those with finely tuned sheet effects, the Annual Starship creates beautiful deckplans without resorting to bitmap fill styles. This means the maps don't rely on external files and can be freely and easily distributed to other users of CC3, whether they subscribe to the Cartographer's Annual or not. A 5-page mapping guide takes the reader through a tour of creating an example deckplan.

Symbol Pack: Connecting Symbols

Templates and examples for a special type of symbol: Connecting catalogs that allow you to create stretches of symbols like streams, wagon tracks, etc. almost as if you were using a drawing tool. First introduced with the release of Cosmographer Pro, this pack concentrates on using bitmaps and bitmap fills in these catalogs. It features a preview of the capabilities of upcoming City Designer 3.

The accompanying guide explains how to use the included CC3 and bitmap templates to create your own connecting symbols in whatever format you like: Vector, bitmap fills or full bitmap symbols.
