.The Wall Net command is used to automate drawing of nets required to draw wall sections, including all panels required, fold lines, cut lines, and glue tabs.
To use the Wall Net command:
1. Click on the Wall Net icon .
2. Click to place the first point of the wall net within the drawing.
3. Click to place a point indicating the opposite end of the wall section to be drawn.
4. Move the mouse to drag the preview outline of the wall to the desired height and click to enter that point, or type a specific wall height at the command line.
To use the value shown at the command line, press Enter.
5. If you wish to change the options used to draw the wall net, press the "O" key. This will bring up the Net Options dialog box:
The Angles settings are set to produce wall pieces used to produce a corner of the specified angle.
The Sides options are used to determine which wall panels will actually be drawn.
The Only this segment checkbox will prevent CCD from remembering the settings, and carrying them over to the next wall net you draw.
6. Move the mouse to drag the preview outline of the wall to the desired width and click to enter that point, or type a specific wall width at the command line.
The angles set within the Net Options dialog will not be the angles actually used to draw the net. Rather, the drawn angle is calculated to represent those required to produce a corner of the specified angle when combined with a like angled piece.
To produce wall nets required for a corner piece, first draw a wall net with the Left angle set to the desired corner angle, then draw another net with the Right angle set to an equal angle.
Alternatively, you may use Copy >> Mirrored Copies to produce the second required corner piece without needing to go through the Wall Net command procedure a second time.
To produce wall sections to plug into tabs drawn with the Geomorph Tabs command, you must set the Bottom Sides check box off, and set a wall width of 1.
