Click on the Symbols menu to access Symdefs to Sheets.
This feature is only for use in symbol catalogs.
SYMDEFS TO SHEETS extracts each symbol defintions in a drawing onto a unique sheet, with the same name as the symbol defintion. For example, if a drawing contained three symbol definitions, TREE, MOUNTAIN and BOAT, and you used this command, you would have three sheets named TREE, MOUNTAIN and BOAT each with the entities in the symbol definitions. Right click Sheets and Effects for sheets-related tools.
After the symbol defintions have been converted into sheets, you can use CC3’s editing features, combined with the sheets tools to make changes to the catalog. When you have finished editing the sheets, use SHEETS TO SYMDEFS to convert them back again.
Notes:
For SYMDEFS TO SHEETS to function, there must be no symbol references or sheets in the drawing.
If you use nested symbol defintions, no changes to these will be apparent until you convert the sheets back into symbols again.
If you add a symbol reference accidentally, you need to erase it and PURGE SYMBOLS before converting back into symbols.
