A 3D regular poly creates a solid or hole with many surfaces, created by extruding a regular polygon such as a square vertically up or down. The appearance of a solid is determined by the current Perspectives Settings .
1 On the Perspectives toolbarright click 3D Box . Click 3D Regular Poly.
The prompt reads "Number of nodes[n]"
2 This determines the number of corners on the polygon. Right-click to accept the default or prior number of sides, or type a new value (for example, type "4" and press ENTER to draw a square).
The prompt reads "Center[x,y]":
3 Right-click to accept the default or prior center or click a center point
CC3 displays a dynamic cursor anchored to the center of the entity. A radial cursor marks the 1st corner. The prompt reads "1st corner (or enter distance):".
4 Click a point, or type a distance then press ENTER.
5 Either, for a solid: click a point above the base, or type a positive distance then press ENTER; or right click to accept the default default (previous) positive value.
Or, for a hole: click a point below the base, or type a negative distance then press ENTER; or right click to accept the default default (previous) negative value.
