A 3D poly creates a solid or hole with many surfaces, created by extruding a polygon vertically up or down. The appearance of a solid is determined by the current Perspectives Settings .
1 On the Perspectives toolbarright click 3D Box . Click 3D Poly.
The prompt reads "First Corner"
2 Click the first point for the polygonal floor.
The prompt reads "Next node [done/close]:"
4 Click a second point.
The prompt reads "Next node [done/close]:"
5 Click further points, then right click to close the shape.
The prompt reads "Height or depth[n]"
6 Either, for a solid: click a point above the base, or type a positive distance then press ENTER; or right click to accept the default default (previous) positive value.
Or, for a hole: click a point below the base, or type a negative distance then press ENTER; or right click to accept the default default (previous) negative value.
