Floors overview

Any horizontal surface in Perspectives that does not form the top surface of a solid shape, is a floor. Floors have there own back ground color and hatch pattern determined by the current Perspectives Settings image\Peropt.gif.

· You can draw floors directly. Click Rectangular Floor image\iboxf.gif, or right-click it to add a polygonal or circular floor area. You can add walls afterwards

· You can create floors from a selection of polygons or 3D circles using Make into Floor.

· Floors form the base of holes formed with cylinders, rectangular and polygonal boxes and rooms.

Floor hatching can be at a fixed angle to the template’s surface, or change according to a direction specified by the first-drawn edge (or center point to radius for circles) The chosen option is determined in the current click Perspectives Settings image\Peropt.gif. Hatch styles such as Grids and Rough Stone should be a fixed angle, Planks would align with walls.

When floors are created they are grouped.
