Access this dialog box from the Custom Drawing Tools dialog box. Click Properties or Outline.
Use Current Properties Throughout The drawing tool will use the properties set on the status indicator when the tool is used.
Color Click the color indicator to choose a color for the interior your custom tool entity. This overrides the current color settings. Select the Use current color tickbox if you would like the entity added in the color on the status indicator.
Line Width Type a line width for the custom entity. This overrides the current color settings. Select the Use current width tickbox if you would like the entity added in the color on the status indicator. Line width is not available if you are using a hatch style.
Layer Selects the layer on which your custom entity is placed. This overides the current layer setting on the status indicator. Select * current settings * if you want the custom shape added to the current layer. If the selected layer is not present in the drawing, the shape will be added to the current drawing.
Use Hatch Style: you can fill drawing tool areas with complex multi-color hatching. This option is only available if you are having an Outline as an extra entity. Pull down the list of hatch styles and choose an appropriate one.
Use Fill style If you aren’t using a hatch style. You can select the fill style for your custom entity. This overides the current fill style settings on the status indicator. Select * current settings * if you want the custom entity to have the current fill style. If the selected fill style is not present in the drawing, the shape will use the current fill style. You won’t see a fill style if the custom entity is open with a line width of 0.
Line style Selects the line style for your custom entity. This overides the current line style settings on the status indicator. Select * current settings * if you want the custom entity to have the current fill style. If the selected line style is not present in the drawing, the shape will use the current line style. A closed custom entity must have a Hollow fill style will show a line style.
Sheet Selects the sheet on which the current drawing tool will be placed. This supports wild cards – eg if the value here is LAND* and the current sheet is LAND FEATURES, it will be placed on that sheet, otherwise on the LAND sheet. If it is blank, the draw tool will be placed on the current sheet.
This option can be overridden with the Insert on Current Sheet option on the basic draw tools dialog box.
