Contours

Contours image\contourline.gif is a drawing tool which lets you add colored areas denoting regions in a certain height range. CC3 includes a default contour color scheme. Contours are usually added to a map after you have added the landmasses.

To add default contours

  1. If you want, add the default contour bar to your map.

  1. Click Default Contour image\contourline.gif.

  2. Click one of the images on the list of thumbnails.

  3. Click and move the mouse to add points. When you click outside the map border, the point snaps to the nearest border edge or corner.

  4. Right-click to complete the current shape.

  5. You can now either add more contours of this color, or right click to stop adding contours of this color.

  6. Click to autorepeat and select more contours colors.
