On the Tools menu click Options to change the selection method.
SELECT BY displays the Select By dialog box, allowing you to set the selection method used editing commands.
Set Selection Methods
Full Dialog is the default and allows you to select entities using the right click context-sensitive menu.
Multiple Each lets you pick one or more entities with the pick cursor, and then right-click to end selection. The editing command automatically continues without any further selection confirmations.
1 Each Pick lets you pick only once with the pick cursor, and then automatically continues the editing command without any further selection confirmations. Any entities in the pick cursor will be selected.
Window lets you select entities with a window, and then automatically continues the editing command without any further selection confirmations.
Prior automatically selects the prior selected entity or entities, then continues the editing command without any further selection confirmations.
This change once only
Checking this option causes the selection method to be active only for the following editing command. When the editing command is finished, the selection method will revert to the previously selected method. This option can be useful if you prefer to use Multiple Each or Window, but for just one command require the flexibility of the Full Dialog.
