I can't see the toolbar or menu item I want

The toolbar could be hidden

1 On the View menu click Screen Tools.

2 Click in the tickbox next to the toolbar you wish to display. The position of the toolbar can be customized by repeatedly clicking on the check box. The control will cycle through positioning arrows:
