Put a scanned image in the background of your map.

Your scanned image should be saved in bitmap form.

1 Start a new drawing based on a template which is a similar shape and size to your scanned image.

2 Save the new drawing in the same folder as the bitmap.

3 On the Edit menu click Insert File.

4 In Files of type click BMP Bitmap File format

5 Unselect Embed in drawing, select Use relative path.

6 Click in the lower left corner of the map border.

7 Click in the upper right corner of the map border.

Note: The bitmap image is not actually present in the drawing, it is stored in the bitmap file. If you want to share the drawing with someone else, you need to give them both files, and they need to place them in the same folder.
