Select a new set of symbols

CC3 has predefined symbol settings which include a specific symbol catalog and can optionally set properties, too. Alternatively, you can choose a symbol catalog file directly.

To choose from a shortlist of symbol catalog setting:

1 Right click Symbol Catalog Settings $image\SYMICOND.gif$ .

2 Click a symbol catalog setting.

To choose a symbol catalog file directly:

1 Click the Catalog... button $image\catalog.gif$ . Navigate to the Symbols folder of your CC3 folder. Choose an appropriate subfolder (e.g. Maps).

2 Click the folder containing the appropriate style of symbols you require (e.g. Filled)

3 If you want to be able to scroll through the entire set of symbols of that style, choose the file with All in its name.(e.g. All filled symbols.fsc). If you want a sub-set of the symbols of this particular style, choose the appropriate file (e.g. Structures.fsc).

Note If you can’t see the Symbol Catalog Window use the TOOLS icon ( $image\tools.gif$ )to display it.

Tip To see a complete list of symbol catalog settings, click Symbol Catalog Settings $image\ICON_SYMICOND.gif$ , click Advanced>>, type * in the Catalog Setting Filter and the Master Filter, then select Find.
