Draw rivers with increasing width

from scratch:

Select the River image\RIVER.gif. Select image\fcw5147.gif, type 0 then press ENTER.

2 Right click the Attach button then select Nearest Endpoint.

At the "1st point:" prompt select a point where you would like the river to start.

Use the zoom icons to zoom into the section of the river you are drawing.

Draw a short river section, Right click to finish the command.

Click image\fcw5147.gif and type a slighty increased line width.

Select the River, then click a point near the end of the last coastline section you drew.

Draw more river sections until you near the coast.

When you near the coast, select the ON modifier then select a point on the coast.

from existing rivers:

Click image\SPLIT.gif the SPLIT icon.

Click a point on the river you chose.

Either click a point on the river where you want an increase in width, or Right click to accept the point you chose in

Click to repeat the command. Select another split point.

When the river is divided up into enough sections, select image\fcw5147.gif, select a river. Type a value for line width.

Repeat step 5 for each river section, typing increasing width values as you approach the coast.
