Whether you create new menu files or modify existing ones, please keep these points in mind.
Save menu files with the extension .mnu.
Save menu files as plain text files. Do not save them as word processing files.
CC3 automatically loads fcw32.mnu unless it finds a menu file that matches the drawing you are loading.
Case is not significant—CC3 doesn’t care whether you type POLY, poly, or Poly to draw a polygon.
Blank spaces (after the colon separator) are significant to CC3. Pressing the SPACEBAR ends a command or parameter just as pressing the ENTER key does. If extra spaces get into the menu data (two spaces where there should be one, or extra spaces at the end of lines), the menu item will not work.
Plain-text editors cannot put CONTROL characters in menu files. When you need to represent a control key combination (like CTRL+C for cancel) in a menu file, you must type a caret (^) followed by the letter.
The length of each pull-down menu is limited by the vertical resolution of your current display mode.
Add a menu item to your special-purpose menus to reload the standard menu file, fcw32.mnu:
Return:|MENUM fcw32.mnu;
Do not add extra blank lines within the menu file.
If you wish to add a separator line in any pull-down or sub-menu, add the following line where you wish it to appear (using 12 dashes and a colon):
------------:
You can select a default menu by typing MENUD and pressing ENTER, then selecting the menu. This will be remembered between sessions.
