While you can use CC3’s mapping templates and symbols for creating plantary maps, we also provide you with Traveller-style hex templates to which you can add hex symbols.
1 From Cosmographer, Click New
2 Click Overland Plantary to map an entire planet or significant portion, or Local Overland for much smaller areas.
3 In either case, scroll down the Browse window to find a hex template.
4 Click Overland 
then click Cosmog Overland.
5 From the catalog window, select hex symbols symbols. Drag the mouse to leave a trail of hexes – hexes aready in those squares will be overwritten automatically
If you hit the edge of one of the regional triangles, be sure to place one of the same hex on the opposite side. Any symbols that hit a 'partial hex' will be obscured by the borders of the map when you next redraw.
If you select and enter a one of the top three symbols (cities and a starport), you’ll be asked to type in a name for them.
