Whilst Character Artist has a number of predefined skin tones and colors for each race, we did not want to limit you to these. CA provides an easy way of making custom skin tones and clothes for your characters using shaded varicolor symbols Many of the symbols with pre-defined skin tones and clothes have varicolor elements; for example, head symbols have varicolor eyes. Just set the current color from the color bar or status bar and that color will be the eye color for the next head you insert. Where you need two or more elements with different colors (for example a head and eyes) we offer seperate symbols, each with its own varicolor.

Note: Shaded varicolors have replaced the old Dark and Light varicolor options in older versions of Character Artist.
