CC3 can cause unrelated enties to be treated as a single entity. These can then be selected and editied as a whole. These collections of entities are called groups. You can group entities together using the GROUP command, and permenantly ungroup them using UNGROUP.
However, you also have the option of temporarily "unlocking" the groups so that individual entities within the groups can be edited. To do this, click Tools > Groups > Unlock Groups.
