Smart symbols work intelligently with CC3’s other entites, in that both the symbol and entities are aware of each other during insertion. This awareness allows the entities to automatically cuts to accommodate the symbol, or have the symbol align or scale itself to fit cleanly. Smart symbols can also offset from an entity – so you could place a building near a road. Typical uses for smart symbols would be doors, windows, etc.
