The Status Bar displays helpful info on the current drawing properties. It provides a very quick means of changing your current sheet, line width, layer, line style, or fill style or tracking mode, Just click on the appropriate display box to select new settings.
Note: These settings affect entities you add to the drawing. If you want to change existing entities, use Change Properties.
Its display may be toggled on or off using Tools 
.
Tracking Indicator
Displays the coordinates of the cursor These can be in absolute relative polar , or relative polar coordinates. Click to toggle through the modes.
Sheet Indicator
Displays the current sheet. Click to set the current sheet and set visibility.
Color Indicator
displays the current color. To change the current color, click on the Color Indicator then choose the new color.
Pen thickness Indicator
displays the current pen thickness.
Line Width Indicator
Displays the active drawing line width. To change the current line widt, click on the Line Width Indicator, then type in a new line width value.
Layer Indicator
Displays the active drawing layer. To change the active layer (for new entities), click on the Layer Indicator then select a new layer. Alternatively use a layer button.
Line Style Indicator
Displays the active line style. To quickly change the active line style (for new entities), click on the Line Style Indicator, then select a new line style.
Fill Style Indicator
Displays the active fill style. To quickly change the active fill style (for new entities), click on the Fill Style Indicator, then select a new fill style.
